Jerusalem – The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), affiliated with the Al-Quds Committee chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, distributed toys and gifts to children on Wednesday at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque as part of its Eid Al-Adha “Entertainment Activities for Children” initiative.
The initiative is being rolled out across several neighborhoods in the Holy City and surrounding towns and villages, in response to requests from local community institutions, with the aim of bringing joy to children and helping ease the hardships resulting from the challenging conditions on the ground.
After Eid prayers, an atmosphere of joy prevailed at the gates and surroundings of Al-Aqsa Mosque as the Agency’s teams handed out gifts, toys, and Eid sweets to families present.
Families welcomed the initiative, saying it gave their children a valuable opportunity to celebrate Eid. They added that such efforts help ease daily pressures and create lasting memories for children connected to their mosque and their city.
The project also provided recreational activities in around ten Jerusalem neighborhoods for children aged 4 to 12, including inflatable play areas, clown performances, face painting, and symbolic gifts, with the aim of creating safe spaces for families and reinforcing the Agency’s humanitarian mission in supporting residents’ steadfastness and preserving the city’s Arab identity.
