Marrakech – Morocco’s Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, on Monday commended the key role played by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), affiliated with the Al-Quds Committee under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in “supporting and empowering Palestinian startups through programs and projects aimed at advancing economic and social development for Palestinians.”
During her visit to BMAQ’s stand at GITEX Africa 2026, the Minister commended the partnership between the Ministry and the Agency, noting that it “provides young Palestinian entrepreneurs with access to innovation ecosystems and enables them to draw on Morocco’s experience in this field.”
At this year’s exhibition, the Agency is showcasing an institutional pavilion and its “BMAQ Innovation Hub,” featuring six Palestinian startups in artificial intelligence, e-commerce, digital payments, and the Internet of Things.
Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, Director of BMAQ, highlighted that the participation of Palestinian startup entrepreneurs in this global exhibition for the third consecutive year, supported by the Agency, “demonstrates the substantial progress in fostering Palestinian entrepreneurship under the Agency’s 2024–2027 digital strategy.”
He added that “this approach exemplifies the Agency’s working methodology, under the direct supervision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, by leveraging digital technology opportunities for young people, enabling them to contribute to economic and social development in Jerusalem and Palestine while generating sustainable income.”
This year’s participating startups operate in areas including AI-driven psychological assessments for career guidance through the “Burhan” platform, as well as the digitalization of nursery services and enhanced communication between educators and parents via the “GrowApp” application.
Also participating is the “HowAISees” platform, which utilizes artificial intelligence to enhance e-commerce and marketing experiences, alongside the “Labebo” project, providing innovative remote therapy and rehabilitation solutions for children through interactive 3D technologies..
The lineup also includes the “QREDIT” platform, which provides digital payment services for small and medium-sized enterprises, and the “Hives 360” system, based on the Internet of Things, aimed at improving beekeeping productivity through smart monitoring and data analysis.
Badr Assalwa, founder and Chief Technology Officer of the “Labebo” project for remote therapy and rehabilitation for children, highlighted that their participation “came at the invitation of BMAQ and with the support of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, joining a diverse group of Palestinian startups from multiple sectors.”
He explained that the participating companies “received preparatory training covering financial management, presentation and communication skills, and effective pitching, along with guidance to ensure their readiness to showcase Palestinian innovation professionally.”
Amal Al-Muati, founder of the “Burhan” platform for AI-powered psychological assessment, stated that the platform “develops intelligent tests to help companies select employees according to precise scientific criteria.”
She also highlighted that her participation in the Palestinian startups delegation was “by invitation from BMAQ and under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI,” expressing gratitude for the support that allowed her and her colleagues to present their ideas and pursue potential investment and partnership opportunities.
Likewise, Abdulrahman Barham, founder of the “Hives 360” system, “ thanked His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan people for their warm welcome”, noting that this “marks his second participation in GITEX following a previous experience in Dubai supported by the Agency, aimed at exploring investment opportunities and forging partnerships both in Morocco and internationally. ”
Throughout the exhibition, which continues until 9 April 2026, the Agency’s pavilion features a range of professional activities, including company presentations and one-on-one meetings with Moroccan and international stakeholders to explore collaborations and expand market access.
