Rabat – The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) has recently released Issue No. 32 of its periodical Echoes From Al-Quds Committee.
The cover of this edition pays tribute to the gracious reception extended by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan to the children of Jerusalem at the Royal Palace in Tetouan.
The new issue highlights that, acting on the instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan received, on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the Royal Palace in Tetouan, the children of Jerusalem taking part in the 16th edition of the summer camp organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ).
It further explained that this initiative, held under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, and overseen by BMAQ, reflects the constant care that His Majesty devotes to the Holy City and its people.
In the editorial of this issue, BMAQ’s Director, Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, emphasized that the advancing Palestinian cause on all levels and fronts demands a will that transcends narrow calculations and places the interests of the Palestinians above all else. He added: “History offers many recent examples where this cause was weighed down by reckless ventures, empty slogans, and political posturing, yet yielded little, if any, concrete benefit for the Palestinians themselves.”
In this regard, Mr. Echarkaoui underscored the importance of commending the Moroccan model in institutionalizing practical solidarity with the Palestinian people in their hardship. This model is exemplified by Morocco’s establishment of solidarity bridges and the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid by land to the afflicted population of Gaza, in line with the instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, and under his direct supervision.
He noted: “This approach serves as a model worth emulating, combining the power of words and with the credibility of action, while emphasizing the human dimension in international relations. It shows that dialogue, flexibility, and reciprocity can prevail, helping to avert conflict and denying extremists the opportunity to improve their will through threats and intimidation.”
This issue also features a bilingual supplement (Arabic and English) on the permanent exhibition of the Al-Quds Committee, housed at the headquarters of BMAQ in Rabat. Far more than a showcase of photographs and artifacts, the exhibition stands as a living memory and a rooted identity, symbolizing Morocco’s principled and steadfast solidarity—under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee—with the Holy City and its Palestinian people. It further offers visitors a vivid portrayal of Morocco’s enduring commitment, renewed from one generation to the next, reaffirming Jerusalem as a city of unity, imbued with a shared human identity.
Besides, the issue includes reports on the humanitarian solidarity bridge extended to the residents of the Gaza Strip, along with coverage of the Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit held in Doha, which reaffirmed its support for the role of the Al-Quds Committee under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
In addition to its regular sections, Issue No. 32 features a special dossier on BMAQ’s semi-annual work program report for 2025. The report highlights a series of projects carried out in support of the Palestinian population, with a total budget of USD 2.2 million, fully funded by the Kingdom of Morocco. Of this amount, USD 384,000 was dedicated specifically to humanitarian relief campaigns in Gaza.
