Baghdad – In the declaration issued during the 34th Arab Summit held today, Saturday, in Baghdad, the kings and heads of Arab states affirmed their support for the role of the Chairmanship of the Al-Quds Committee and the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, headed by HM King Mohammed VI, King of the Kingdom of Morocco, may God assist him.
This support was reiterated by the Arab leaders in their resolution on the “developments and Israeli violations in the occupied city of Jerusalem.”
HM King Mohammed VI was represented at the 34th session of the Arab League Council at the Summit level by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita.
In a message addressed to the Summit and read by Mr. Bourita, His Majesty the King stated:
“In keeping with the responsibility entrusted to me as Chairman of the al-Quds Committee, I will continue to defend the holy sites, especially al-Quds al-Sharif, by building on the combined effect of political and diplomatic action, on the one hand, and the field work carried out by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, on the other. We shall continue to implement tangible programs and projects aimed at preserving the cultural and spiritual identity of the Holy City, improve the social and living conditions of the inhabitants of al-Quds, and support their steadfastness and continued presence in al-Quds.”
