Rabat – The Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mr. Asaad Al-Shaibani, praised today in Rabat the continuous efforts undertaken by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to defend the Holy City of Jerusalem and its inhabitants, preserve its cultural identity, and safeguard its status as a symbol of tolerance and coexistence among the three monotheistic religions.
This came in a joint statement adopted on the occasion of Mr. Al-Shaibani’s first official visit to Morocco. On this occasion, the Syrian official commended the sustained efforts carried out by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) , the executive arm of the Al-Quds Committee operating under the direct supervision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
The joint statement underscored the Agency’s pivotal role in implementing numerous humanitarian, social, and development projects aimed at supporting the Holy City and improving the living conditions of Jerusalemite residents..
The Minister particularly reaffirmed the Kingdom of Morocco’s enduring commitment to the Palestinian cause, notably through initiatives benefiting Jerusalemites, amed at strengthening their resilience, preserving the Holy City’s civilizational and spiritual identity, and supporting their steadfast attachment to Jerusalem in the face of ongoing challenges.
