Rabat – The “Al-Quds Nights in Morocco” program was officially launched on Thursday evening at the National Higher Institute of Music and Choreographic Art in Rabat. The initiative is organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), in partnership with the Burj Al-Luqlaq Community Association in Jerusalem and the Moroccan Association for the Support of Reconstruction in Palestine.
This three-day event forms part of BMAQ’s ongoing efforts, carried out under the gracious instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to strengthen the symbolic presence of the Holy City in the human conscience and to consolidate the values of solidarity and steadfast support for its people and holy sites.
In a speech delivered on the occasion, BMAQ Director Mr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui emphasized that the “Al-Quds Nights in Morocco” program reflects the Agency’s commitment to harnessing culture, creativity, and cultural industries as a human bridge linking Morocco and Jerusalem, enhancing awareness of the Palestinian cause and supporting the resilience of Jerusalemites, in harmony with the city’s values and its religious and civilizational significance.
Mr. Echarkaoui also highlighted the Agency’s preparations to launch its Ramadan campaign in Jerusalem, aimed at supporting needy families throughout the holy month. He further outlined the Agency’s 2026 action plan, which includes support projects for health and educational institutions, as well as initiatives in the fields of culture, the arts, and programs dedicated to children.
For his part, the Ambassador of Palestine to the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Jamal Al-Shobaki, affirmed that Palestine’s true safety net resides in its Arab and Islamic depth, foremost among which is Morocco, whose steadfast economic and political support remains unwavering. In this context, he underscored the Moroccan presence in Jerusalem as an integral and enduring component of the city’s social fabric.
The Ambassador noted that the “Al-Quds Nights in Morocco” program will be reciprocated by “Moroccan Nights in Jerusalem” during the holy month of Ramadan, reaffirming the strong partnership with BMAQ, which plays a leading role in supporting Jerusalemites and strengthening their resilience.
In turn, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Burj Al-Luqlaq Community Association in Jerusalem, Mr. Nasser Ghaith, stated that the activities of the “Al-Quds Nights in Morocco” program go beyond mere celebration, serving instead as a powerful reminder of the Holy City’s spiritual, historical, and human significance in the collective conscience of the Ummah.
Mr. Ghaith highly praised the Kingdom’s pioneering role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in supporting the city of Jerusalem through steadfast positions and concrete initiatives, guided by a firm and consistent approach that reflects Morocco’s deep historical and emotional ties to the Holy City.
For her part, Ms. Amina Talbi, a member of the Executive Office of the Moroccan Association for the Support of Reconstruction in Palestine, emphasized that “Al-Quds Nights in Morocco” is a spiritual and cultural event reflecting the deep historical and emotional ties between the Moroccan people and Jerusalem and Palestine.
