The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) will inaugurate Thursday, the “Al-Quds Nights in Morocco” program at the National Higher Institute of Music and Choreographic Art, adjacent to the Mohammed V Theatre in Rabat. Organized in partnership with the Burj Al-Luqlaq Community Society in Jerusalem and the Moroccan Association for the Support of Reconstruction in Palestine, the event features artistic groups and religious chanting ensembles from both Morocco and Jerusalem.
Running until next Saturday, the program forms part of the Agency’s ongoing efforts, under the gracious instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to strengthen the symbolic presence of the Holy City and promote solidarity with its people and holy sites.
This initiative reflects BMAQ’s commitment to leveraging culture, creativity, and cultural industries as a human bridge between Morocco and Jerusalem, raising awareness of the Palestinian cause and supporting the resilience of Jerusalemites in line with its enduring mission.
The program showcases visual art exhibitions by Palestinian artists Talib Odweik and Shihab Al-Qawasmi, alongside traditional product galleries. Performances include the Jerusalemite Heritage Youth Forum troupe and the “Anwar Al-Quds” religious chanting group, led by chanter Zuhair Al-Sabbah, together comprising more than 20 Palestinian artists of all ages.
Additional performances feature the Al-Furqan Group for religious chanting and Qur’anic recitation, led by Professor Omar Al-Jaadi, and the Ikhwan Al-Fann ensemble, directed by artist Ayoub Al-Ammarti and accompanied by musician Marwan Haji. Young artist Yousra Chouhad will also present solo instrumental performances.
