Rabat – His Excellency Haidar Al-Barak, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Kingdom of Morocco, praised the pioneering role played by HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in supporting the Palestinian cause and the significant impact of the Committee’s work under His leadership.
During his visit to the headquarters of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), the Ambassador expressed his country’s pride in its membership in the Al-Quds Committee, stressing that the Palestinian cause is at the heart of Iraq’s concerns. He noted that the Iraqi people have made great sacrifices for this cause and expressed Iraq’s willingness to provide possible support to the Agency’s efforts in Jerusalem and Palestine.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, Director in charge of managing BMAQ, underscored the strong fraternal ties between the Moroccan and Iraqi peoples, as well as Iraq’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause. He outlined the Agency’s key achievements carried out under the direct supervision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
Dr. Echarkaoui reaffirmed the Agency’s unwavering commitment to its humanitarian mission despite challenging circumstances, noting that it has recently launched its 2025–2026 social and economic season in Jerusalem and scheduled new development and humanitarian projects valued at nearly USD 2 million to be implemented by the end of the year.
