Rabat – The Acting Director of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), Mohamed Salem Echarkoui, said the Agency’s annual summer camp for Jerusalem children helps translate the Al-Quds Committee’s efforts, chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, into tangible support for the Holy City and its inhabitants.
Speaking to the press following HRH Princess Lalla Meryem’s reception, by order of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, of the Jerusalem children participating in BMAQ’s 17th summer camp at the Guest Palace in Rabat on Sunday, Echarkoui said that “this renewed royal gesture reflects the care extended to all segments of Jerusalem’s population, particularly younger generations, and seeks to instill in them hope for a better future.”
He added that the initiative also reflects Morocco’s enduring spirit of brotherhood and solidarity with the Palestinian people by investing in younger generations and fostering the values of coexistence, mutual respect, and peace.
He said the Jerusalem children and their accompanying supervisors expressed their sincere gratitude to His Majesty the King for this initiative and for the continued royal support extended to Palestinians, particularly Jerusalemites, through initiatives spanning human development, trade, start-ups, education, healthcare, housing, women’s empowerment, youth and children, culture, and sports..
They also expressed their deep appreciation to HRH Princess Lalla Meryem for the warm reception, describing it as another reflection of His Majesty the King’s unwavering commitment to the Holy City and its people.
