The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) continues its Ramadan “Campaign of Goodness” across Jerusalem and its surrounding areas as scheduled, despite the city’s challenging circumstances. The initiative includes daily iftar distributions, communal iftars, and entertainment activities for children and their families.
In this framework, the Agency hosted an iftar banquet and a Ramadan evening for children and their families in Bir Nabala, in collaboration with the Women’s Association of Northwest Jerusalem, attended by representatives from both governmental and civil institutions
Muwaffaq Al-Khatib, Director of the Office for the Northwest Jerusalem Villages, stated that taking part in this collective iftar represents a shared effort to strengthen community resilience and promote social solidarity. He noted that the initiative, held during Laylat al-Qadr and the blessed days of Ramadan, reflects the values of unity and support for the Palestinian people, especially in Jerusalem and its surrounding areas.
Al-Khatib also commended the Kingdom of Morocco—its King, government, and people—through BMAQ, for spreading joy among Palestinian families and offering support across multiple sectors, particularly in Jerusalem and its surrounding areas.
Susan Taysir, President of the Women’s Association of Northwest Jerusalem, thanked the Agency for its support of this initiative and the Ramadan programs benefiting underprivileged families in Bir Nabala and nearby areas. She commended the strong partnership between the two organizations and expressed hope for expanded collaboration and more joint programs in the future.
Volunteer Huda Hussein stated that the initiative aims to create a positive impact and bring joy to children amidst the current circumstances, explaining that it seeks to break routine and instill a festive atmosphere during Ramadan, which is important for supporting children’s mental well-being.
Notably, at the beginning of Ramadan, BMAQ launched its annual social assistance campaign in accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to supporting Palestinian residents in Jerusalem under all circumstances.
This year, the campaign provided 5,000 food baskets to needy families in Jerusalem and surrounding villages, while also supplying takayas and social centers to prepare around 20,000 iftar meals daily throughout Ramadan. The initiative further included distributing Eid clothing to 500 orphans under the Agency’s care and organizing religious, cultural, and training programs.
