Jerusalem — The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories and Imam of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, praised the efforts of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) and the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in supporting the resilience of Jerusalemites and Palestinians more broadly.
During a meeting two days ago in Al-Ram, Jerusalem, with Dr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, Director of BMAQ, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein praised Morocco—its King, government, and people—for their unwavering support of the Palestinian cause across political, diplomatic, and economic spheres.
After highlighting the strong bonds between the Palestinian and Moroccan peoples, the Grand Mufti assessed the current challenges facing the Palestinian people and their holy sites, particularly under the prevailing circumstances.
The meeting also highlighted BMAQ’s achievements in Palestine, including its efforts to protect and defend Jerusalem, support the resilience of its residents and defenders, and implement planned campaigns in the coming months.
