Rabat – On Saturday, Dr. Mohammed Salem Echarkaoui, Director in Charge of Managing the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), was appointed to the Academic Advisory Board of the peer-reviewed journal Al-Maqdisiyya, published by Al-Quds University.
The announcement came during the reconstitution of Al-Maqdisiyya’s Academic Advisory Board, which held its first meeting via videoconference, bringing together its newly appointed members, including Mr. Echarkaoui.
Mr. Echarkaoui’s appointment, alongside leading scholars and heads of Arab and international research centers, marks the culmination of his dedicated service to Jerusalem and its just cause under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
The journal Al-Maqdisiyya, published by Al-Quds University under the leadership of Dr. Imad Abu Kishk, Executive President of the University’s General Assembly, is a peer-reviewed quarterly specializing in Jerusalem studies. First issued in early 2019, it aims to become the leading reference on matters concerning Jerusalem.
