Rabat – On Wednesday, 20 January 2026, in Rabat, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom of Morocco, Sami bin Abdullah Al-Saleh, commended the tangible efforts and sustained support extended by the Kingdom of Morocco to Jerusalem and Palestine, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
During his visit to the headquarters of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), the Saudi Ambassador described the Agency as a “leading institution” in safeguarding the Holy City, in view of the “highly commendable efforts it undertakes across various social sectors, which contribute to strengthening the resilience of Jerusalemites.”
On this occasion, BMAQ Director, Mr. Mohammed Salem Echarkaoui, provided an overview of the Agency’s efforts and achievements during the year 2025 in the fields of education, health, social assistance, and human development, in implementation of the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
In this context, Mr. Eharkaoui highlighted that the Agency implemented 66 projects with a total budget of USD 8 million, funded by the Kingdom of Morocco, including USD 1.5 million dedicated to humanitarian relief initiatives in Gaza. These efforts form part of the Agency’s continued contribution to the national mobilization throughout the war on the Gaza Strip, aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian population, in accordance with the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
