Rabat – The Vice President of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Indonesian Ulema Council, Oki Setadi Effendi, praised today in Rabat the historic commitment of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to supporting the Palestinian cause.
In a statement, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) reported that during his visit to the Agency’s headquarters, accompanied by a delegation from the Moroccan Association for Reconstruction in Palestine, Mr. Effendi also praised “the commendable efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in supporting Jerusalem and the Palestinian people.”
Mr. Effendi stressed that “Morocco’s recognized dedication to the Palestinian cause is a consistent and enduring historic commitment, dating back to the reigns of the late Kings Mohammed V and Hassan II, may God rest their souls.”
The statement further noted that he also emphasized “the value of the Agency’s efforts and its tangible impact in assisting Jerusalem and its people. ”
He further highlighted the deep-rooted historical relations linking Morocco and Indonesia for over a millennium, stressing that the Indonesian people cherish a special affinity for Morocco, Palestine, and Jerusalem.
For his part, Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, Director of BMAQ, highlighted the Agency’s accomplishments and outlined the projects it is carrying out in Jerusalem under the direct guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
Mr. Echarkaoui expressed his gratitude for the heartfelt brotherly sentiments conveyed by the Vice President of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Indonesian Ulema Council, reaffirming BMAQ’s commitment to continuing its projects that preserve the identity and civilizational character of the Holy City, while serving as a key platform for coordinating Arab and Islamic initiatives in support of Jerusalem.
