Jerusalem – Prominent Jerusalem figures have commended the initiative of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for dispatching urgent humanitarian and medical aid to the Palestinian people, with particular focus on the residents of the Gaza Strip. They hailed the move as a timely and impactful expression of solidarity amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
In statements to the Maghreb Arab Press (MAP), they commended the great efforts consistently undertaken by His Majesty to support the resilience of the Palestinian people and defend their just causes.
In this regard, Fadl Tahboub, member of the Palestinian National Council, affirmed that His Majesty’s initiative is praiseworthy and reflects Morocco’s deep solidarity with the Palestinian people.
He added that the delivery of this urgent humanitarian and medical aid to Gaza residents, amid increasingly dire conditions, will play a crucial role in easing their worsening suffering. He praised His Majesty’s unwavering dedication to responding to the needs of the Palestinian people whenever they endure hardship or crisis.
For his part, Azzam Al-Hushlemun, member of the Higher Islamic Council in Jerusalem, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the King for his noble efforts in supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.
He furthert noted that sending urgent humanitarian and medical aid to Gaza residents carries profound meanings of brotherhood and solidarity, values that the Moroccan people have always upheld in standing by the Palestinians.
Meanwhile, writer and political analyst Rasem Obeidat expressed his appreciation for the strong spirit of solidarity shown by Moroccans toward their Palestinian brothers whenever the opportunity arises, considering His Majesty’s initiative a noble humanitarian gesture that will help meet the needs of Gaza residents in these trying times.
Obeidat also praised the efforts of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), the executive arm of the Al-Quds Committee, in supporting the Palestinian people, commending its various humanitarian initiatives and social, economic, and health projects aimed at alleviating the suffering of Palestinians, whether in Jerusalem or the Gaza Strip.
