Jerusalem – The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) today, Thursday in Jerusalem, delivered grants to finance 14 small projects benefiting families in the suburbs of Jerusalem, as part of the “Local Human Development Initiatives” program, in partnership with the Governorate of Jerusalem..
The grant ceremony was attended by the Director in charge of running BMAQ, Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, the Deputy Governor of Jerusalem, Abdullah Siam, and staff from the Agency and the Governorate. The beneficiaries participated in the event, expressing their appreciation for this initiative which they described as one that “preserves their dignity and helps them improve their lives and manage their daily needs.”
On this occasion, Mr. Echarkaoui reaffirmed BMAQ’s commitment to implementing the High Royal Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, by continuing to diversify development projects and support needy Jerusalemite families through partnerships with local institutions, despite the difficult conditions and limited funding.
For his part, the Deputy Governor praised the efforts made by BMAQ in serving Jerusalemite institutions and strengthening the resilience of the citizens, under the guidance of HM King Mohammed VI, and his continuous support for the city of Jerusalem and its people. He stressed that the Agency’s work methodology genuinely reflects the needs of the Jerusalemites and responds to their living requirements.
During the meeting, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the initiative, viewing it as a genuine opportunity to enhance their living conditions. They affirmed that the financial support would have a meaningful and lasting impact on their daily lives.
The small income-generating projects span a diverse range of sectors, including livestock farming, beauty services, sewing and embroidery, sports equipment rentals, event supply rentals, dairy and cheese production, as well as confectionery and pastry ventures.
