Gaza – On Monday, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency (BMAQ) carried out the second phase of the Moroccan humanitarian relief campaign in Gaza City, with the contribution of the Moroccan Association for Supporting Reconstruction in Palestine.
Hundreds of Palestinian families displaced from the northern and eastern areas of the Gaza Strip have benefited from this initiative, which marks the second such effort in just two weeks. These families endure extremely harsh humanitarian conditions in overcrowded displacement camps.
Similar to the first phase of this operation, which was carried out on June 20th for the benefit of displaced families in the Mawasi Khan Yunis area in the south of the Gaza Strip, the targeted families received food baskets containing flour, cooking oil, lentils, and beans, which were procured from local markets despite their scarcity and high prices.
The operation will continue in multiple phases over the coming weeks, with the goal of reaching around one thousand Palestinian families spread across various parts of the Gaza Strip — including the north, center, and south. This plan carefully considers the complex security situation and the significant risks of movement within Palestinian areas due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes.
On this occasion, the beneficiaries of the campaign expressed their heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee — may God protect him — for his noble and steadfast support for the Palestinian people.
The beneficiaries also expressed their deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to the Kingdom of Morocco — its King, government, and people — for the generous support and assistance provided. They emphasized that this initiative met their urgent needs at a critical time when essential goods are scarce due to the blockade and the soaring prices of whatever little remains available in local markets.
