Rabat – On Wednesday, Dr. Ahmad Abu Holi, Head of the Refugee Affairs Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and member of its Executive Committee, commended the tireless and unwavering efforts of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in bolstering the resilience of the Palestinian people.
During his visit to the headquarters of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) in Rabat, Dr. Ahmad Abu Holi, accompanied by the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Morocco, Jamal Al-Shobaki, and Deputy Head of the Department, Anwar Hammam, commended the Agency’s impactful presence and its dynamic activities in Jerusalem.
Dr. Ahmad Abu Holi expressed the Department of Refugee Affairs’ interest in leveraging BMAQ’s field expertise to help alleviate the suffering of refugees in Jerusalem. This initiative comes in response to the occupation authorities’ decision to close UNRWA centers and schools in the Holy City and the Shuafat camp, as well as their targeting of the vocational training center in Qalandia camp.
In his address, Mr. Mohamed Salem Echerkaoui, Director in charge of managing BMAQ, outlined the Agency’s ongoing initiatives in recent months in Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, particularly in the fields of education, healthcare, social support, and human development. These efforts are conducted in line with the high royal instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee—may God protect him.
