Rabat –April 21, 2025
Young Palestinian entrepreneurs participating in the Innovation and Renewal Incubator Program of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) expressed their deep appreciation for the unwavering support extended by HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to all segments of the Palestinian population.
At the close of their participation in GITEX Africa 2025, the Palestinian youth praised the impressive wave of development unfolding across various sectors in the Kingdom. They also highlighted Morocco’s strong and symbolic presence in Jerusalem and among its residents—reflecting the profound sense of solidarity they felt from Moroccans of all walks of life toward the Palestinian people, regardless of time or circumstance.
The young Palestinian entrepreneurs wrapped up their participation in GITEX Africa in Marrakech with field visits to the business incubator at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Benguerir and the Innovation and Renewal Incubator operated by BMAQ in Rabat.
The delegation included representatives from six start-ups currently benefiting from the 2025 BMAQ’s Incubator Program, funded by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, in addition to representatives from Al-Quds University and Bank of Palestine.
The delegation’s visit to the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Benguerir offered an opportunity to learn about the university’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, followed by discussions on ways to strengthen future cooperation between the university and Palestinian institutions in support of sustainable development and youth empowerment. The meeting was held in the presence of the University President, Mr. Hicham El Habti.
During their visit to the Agency’s headquarters in Rabat, the Palestinian delegation was briefed on the range of programs and initiatives implemented in Jerusalem through the Innovation and Renewal Incubator. Launched last year as part of the Agency’s 2024–2027 digital strategy, the incubator has so far supported 13 start-ups.
Each cohort enrolled in the program undergoes an intensive five-month cycle of training and mentorship, featuring over 160 hours of interactive workshops and hands-on sessions focused on entrepreneurship and innovation. Outstanding start-up founders are later selected to showcase their projects at major international events such as GITEX Africa in Morocco and Expand North Star in Dubai.
