Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency opened on September 7, 2023 its pavilion at the 13th Palestinian international Book Fair – themed \u201cFrom the Nakba to the State\u201d- in the municipality of Surda, northern Ramallah, organized by the Palestinian culture ministry, in the presence of Palestine\u2019s head of government, Mohammad Shtayyeh, and other cabinet members, officials and diplomats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pavilion, designed to reflect the Moroccan authentic architecture and handicraft, displays copies of the Agency\u2019s publications on the history, religious role and civilization of Al Quds as well as aspects of the Moroccans\u2019 attachment to the city and to its blessed mosque<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, the Agency has set a special program that features a major conference in the presence of Palestinian historians and academics and sessions of poem reading from the collection \u201cAlf Qasida Wa Qasida limawlati\u201d, by Mouataz Al Qots, that is part of the Agency 2023 publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On this occasion, Ibrahim Melhem, speaking on behalf of the Palestinian government, noted that \u201cthe head of government\u2019s visit to Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency\u2019s pavilion reflects his consideration to the King, government and people of Morocco and the importance of the Moroccan stances and policies that support the Palestinian cause\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are looking forward to additional political and financial support to the Palestinian people to help them take up the occupiers\u2019 aggressions and challenges\u201d, he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On his part, the coordinator of the Agency\u2019s programs and projects in Al Quds, Ismail Ramli, stressed that \u201cthe participation of the Agency in the Palestinian International Book Fair coincides with the silver jubilee of the agency, marked under the aegis of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, chairman of Al Quds Committee, to celebrate 25 years of actions launched at the initiative of the late King Hassan II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also recalled that \u201cthe Agency participation is meant to publicize its efforts to preserve the identity and collective memory of the holy city and its population through documentation, archiving, publication, cultural and social activities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pavilion coordinator, Sanaa Tahtah, explained that the Agency participation in the book fair, with other Palestinian, Arab and Moroccan publishers crowns a set of programs and activities designed to support the sector of culture in Al Quds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of 390 publishing companies from Arab countries (Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia) are present at the exhibition, in addition to participants from Turkey, Italy and Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fair, extending over an area of over 6500 square meters, displays more than 61,000 books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to publishing companies, the fair includes official pavilions of the following four Arab countries: Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco and Oman, as well as governmental institutions, civil associations and various cultural organizations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
