Jeddah \u2014 The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Thursday commended the role of the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in supporting the resilience of Jerusalemites, while Morocco reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and strengthening their resilience.
\nIn its resolution adopted at the close of the 23rd Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council praised the role of the Al-Quds Committee under the chairmanship of HM King Mohammed VI, as well as the field, humanitarian, and development efforts of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) to support Jerusalemites and strengthen their resilience.
\nIn a statement delivered by His Majesty’s Ambassador to Riyadh and Morocco’s Permanent Representative to the OIC, Mustapha Mansouri, who headed the Kingdom’s delegation to the session, Morocco reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and strengthening their resilience.
\nHe underscored that this commitment is reflected in BMAQ’s work on the ground, as the executive arm of the Al-Quds Committee, through development, social, and humanitarian projects aimed at improving the living conditions of Jerusalemites, strengthening their resilience, and preserving the city’s social fabric.
\nThe meeting reviewed the situation in Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites amid recent developments, with a view to forging a common position in response to escalating Israeli measures targeting the city’s identity and holy sites.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
