{"id":12701,"date":"2026-08-23T01:59:05","date_gmt":"2026-08-22T22:59:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bmaq.org\/?p=12701"},"modified":"2026-08-23T01:59:05","modified_gmt":"2026-08-22T22:59:05","slug":"jerusalem-children-join-moroccans-in-celebrating-youth-day-and-mark-hm-king-mohammed-vis-63rd-birthday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bmaq.org\/en\/2026\/08\/23\/jerusalem-children-join-moroccans-in-celebrating-youth-day-and-mark-hm-king-mohammed-vis-63rd-birthday\/","title":{"rendered":"Jerusalem Children Join Moroccans in Celebrating Youth Day and Mark HM King Mohammed VI\u2019s 63rd Birthday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tangier &#8211; Jerusalem children taking part in the 17th edition of the summer camp joined Moroccans on Saturday in celebrating Youth Day, which this year coincides with the 63rd birthday of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.<br \/>\nThe children and their supervisors marked the occasion with a symbolic celebration at their residence in Tangier, featuring artistic performances inspired by Palestinian heritage and heartfelt wishes for His Majesty\u2019s continued health and well-being.<br \/>\nThe ceremony, attended by Acting Director of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) Mohamed Salem Echarkoui, opened with the Jerusalemite children singing the Moroccan and Palestinian national anthems, followed by a poem celebrating the occasion performed by Yasmine Rassas and traditional Palestinian Dabke performances.<br \/>\nOn the occasion, Sinar Azhaiman, speaking on behalf of her peers, extended their \u201cwarm congratulations, as well as those of their families\u201d to the Moroccan people on Youth Day, an annual celebration honoring the country\u2019s youth and reaffirming the values of patriotism and commitment to the nation.<br \/>\nShe added that the Palestinian Dabke performances presented by her peers that evening \u201ccaptured, through their confident steps and authentic rhythms, the spirit of belonging and pride in one\u2019s homeland.\u201d<br \/>\nShe further described music as a \u201clanguage that transcends words and touches the heart,\u201d carrying messages of love, joy, and hope through its melodies, and bringing together \u201ctwo cherished homelands united by history, heritage, and the values of brotherhood and affection that build bridges from Palestine to Morocco.\u201d<br \/>\nFor her part, Muntaha Attoun, representative of the Directorate of Education and Teaching, extended her congratulations to His Majesty the King and the Moroccan people on Youth Day, wishing His Majesty a long life in \u201cserving His country and supporting Jerusalem and its Palestinian people.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cMay joy and celebration always fill Morocco and the hearts of its people!
