The event was organized as part of the second phase of the 17th edition of the \u201cManarat Al-Salam\u201d Summer Camp, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, and running through August 26.<\/p>\n<p>The Jerusalem boys formed three mini-football teams to face Moroccan counterparts from the \u201cInter Tangier,\u201d \u201cAreej Tangier,\u201d and \u201cUnion Ain Hayane\u201d associations, while the Jerusalem girls\u2019 basketball team took on the \u201cAjial Al-Tadamon\u201d team.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament offered a valuable opportunity for the Palestinian children to strengthen their bonds with their Moroccan peers, showcase their talents and sporting skills, and embrace the true spirit of sportsmanship. It also highlighted the role of sport in shaping children\u2019s and young people\u2019s character and instilling values of hard work, perseverance, generosity, and fair play.<\/p>\n<p>Following the competitions, the children set off on an open-top bus tour of Tangier, taking in some of the city\u2019s most prominent landmarks, including the Villa Harris Museum and the Tangier International Zone, Perdicaris Park, Cap Spartel, and Hercules Cave. The tour also took them to the meeting point of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, where they enjoyed the spectacular coastal scenery.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Wednesday, the children are visiting the picturesque mountain city of Chefchaouen, an important stop on the camp\u2019s programme. The visit offers them an opportunity to discover the city\u2019s rich historical heritage and enjoy its breathtaking mountain scenery, before rounding off the day with evening recreational activities at the amusement park in Tangier, \u201cManar Park\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Jerusalem Children\u2019s Camp, launched in 2008 under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, is one of the Agency\u2019s flagship annual social and educational programmes.
