It gave the Jerusalemite children and their accompanying supervisors an opportunity to explore the Royal Guard\u2019s rich history, spanning more than 12 centuries from the Idrisid to the Alaouite dynasties, and learn about its longstanding traditions and heritage.<br \/>\nThe program, attended by 50 Jerusalemite boys and girls aged 11 to 14, included visits to cavalry, sports, and music training facilities, as well as equestrian demonstrations.<br \/>\nThe children also visited the Royal Guard Museum and viewed its collections, with one participant signing the museum\u2019s Golden Book.<br \/>\nSpeaking to the press, BMAQ\u2019s Acting Director, Mohamed Salem Echarkoui, described the visit as \u201can important annual milestone reflecting His Majesty\u2019s High Solicitude for all segments of the Palestinian people, particularly children and youth.\u201d<br \/>\nEcharkoui highlighted that the visit gave the Jerusalemite children an opportunity to discover one of Morocco\u2019s historic and cultural landmarks and gain a deeper appreciation of the Kingdom\u2019s rich heritage, institutions, and enduring values of unity, freedom, justice, and peace.<br \/>\nHe added that these values instill hope in the children, who will return home carrying with them the warmth and affection they experienced throughout their stay in Morocco.<br \/>\nFor his part, Sam Al-Araj, Head of the \u201cManaret Al-Salam\u201d (Lighthouse of Peace) Delegation of Jerusalem Children in Morocco, said the children had been warmly welcomed from the moment of their arrival, noting that their stay features a diverse program of visits and activities.<br \/>\nIn a statement to MAP, Al-Araj said, \u201cWe feel as though we are among our own family, in our home and homeland,\u201d adding that the experience gives Jerusalem\u2019s children an opportunity to connect with their Moroccan peers and discover the country\u2019s culture, customs, and traditions.<br \/>\nHe described the experience as \u201ca once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,\u201d emphasizing the Jerusalemite children\u2019s deep affection for Morocco, its people, and its institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2008 under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, the Jerusalem Children\u2019s Camp is one of BMAQ\u2019s flagship annual social and educational programs, designed to develop young people\u2019s skills, foster cultural exchange, and strengthen ties with their Moroccan peers.<br \/>\nAs has become an annual tradition, the children join the Moroccan people in celebrating national holidays that coincide with their stay in the Kingdom, performing the Moroccan national anthem and selected songs from the country\u2019s musical repertoire, alongside artistic presentations inspired by Palestinian heritage and traditional Dabke dance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rabat &#8211; The Jerusalem children taking part in the annual summer camp organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) visited the Royal Guard Headquarters at Mechouar Essaid in Rabat on Saturday, where they toured several of its facilities and spaces.
