The ceremony was chaired by the Agency\u2019s Acting Director, Mohamed Salem Echarkoui, and attended by representatives of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, Youth Department, and the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Morocco.<br \/>\nHeld under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, the camp runs from August 12 to 26 and features educational visits to cities and historical sites, artistic and sports competitions, recreational activities, and opportunities for the children to interact with their Moroccan peers.<br \/>\nIn an address on the occasion, Echarkoui said that His Majesty King Mohammed VI\u2019s continued High Patronage of the camp reflects His Majesty\u2019s care for Palestinians in general and Jerusalemites in particular, especially children, adolescents, and young people.<br \/>\nEcharkoui also highlighted the significance of naming the 17th edition \u201cManaret Al-Salam\u201d (Beacon of Peace), saying the name reflects the values of unity, freedom, justice, and peace embraced by Moroccans.<br \/>\nHe noted that the program will introduce the children to Morocco\u2019s culture and heritage through educational and recreational activities. As part of the \u201cSummer School,\u201d they will also learn about safe internet use from experts of the National Commission for the Control of the Protection of Personal Data (CNDP) and explore educational content on the \u201cHayya\u201d platform promoting the values and virtues of Jerusalem.<br \/>\nFor her part, Muntaha Atoun, representative of the Jerusalem Directorate of Education and the ministry official accompanying the students, expressed her sincere gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for providing this opportunity to the children of Jerusalem.<br \/>\nShe said the camp would allow the children to discover Morocco\u2019s culture and heritage firsthand while visiting different parts of the country. She expressed hope that the experience would continue to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cultural exchange between the two brotherly countries.<br \/>\nThe Jerusalemite children expressed their delight at taking part in the camp and welcomed the opportunity to discover Moroccan culture and connect with their Moroccan peers. They thanked His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the initiative and BMAQ for organizing the camp, expressing enthusiasm for discovering Morocco and sharing Jerusalem\u2019s heritage with their Moroccan peers.<br \/>\nAs part of the camp, a Summer School is being held from August 12 to 14 under the theme \u201cWe Learn, We Create, We Look to the Future with Hope,\u201d bringing together Palestinian and Moroccan children. The program features presentations and competitions led by the \u201cHayya\u201d platform team for children and adolescents.<br \/>\nThe Summer School opened with an educational workshop on \u201cSafe Use of the Internet and Information Technology,\u201d led by digital safety experts from the CNDP.<br \/>\nThe participants will visit several official institutions in Rabat before concluding the first phase with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca on Sunday, August 16. They will then travel to Tangier on Monday, August 17, to begin the second phase, including visits to Tetouan and Chefchaouen.<br \/>\nLaunched in 2008 under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, the Jerusalem Children\u2019s Camp is one of BMAQ\u2019s annual social and educational programs.
