The initiative embodies the spirit of Ramadan, emphasizing compassion, generosity, and mutual support.<br \/>\nAs part of the campaign, ready-to-eat iftar meals were distributed on Wednesday afternoon at the Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari Takiya in the village of Biddu. Approximately 800 meals are served daily throughout the holy month to local residents.<br \/>\nBeneficiary lists are prepared by social workers using carefully defined criteria to ensure fairness and transparency. The process also considers the diverse neighborhoods, camps, villages, and towns across Jerusalem, ensuring aid reaches those most in need and has maximum social and humanitarian impact.<br \/>\nAlaa Al-Dari, supervisor of the Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari Takiya, highlighted the facility\u2019s role since its establishment in 2016 in promoting social solidarity and alleviating poverty in areas northwest of Jerusalem through a range of humanitarian programs and community services for vulnerable families.<br \/>\nAl-Dari also praised the ongoing support provided by King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to the Palestinian people. He commended BMAQ\u2019s leading role in advancing humanitarian initiatives in Jerusalem, particularly its sustained assistance to the Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari Takiya, which strengthens the resilience of needy families.<br \/>\nDeputy Head of the Takiya, Salem Abu Eid, noted that the initiative provides daily iftar meals to fasting residents in areas northwest of Jerusalem, distributing more than 800 meals each day in Biddu. He added that the strong turnout reflects the growing needs of the community amid economic challenges and rising rates of poverty and unemployment.<br \/>\nAbdulaziz Mansour, a member of the Biddu municipal council and a volunteer at the takiya, expressed gratitude to all supporters of these humanitarian efforts, especially the Kingdom of Morocco and BMAQ, whose continued backing over the years has aided many families in need.<br \/>\nThis year\u2019s social assistance campaign also includes 5,000 food baskets containing 22 essential items for needy Palestinian families in Jerusalem and surrounding villages. Additionally, several takiyas and social centers are supplied to prepare approximately 20,000 iftar meals daily throughout Ramadan.<br \/>\nThe program further provides Eid al-Fitr clothing for 500 orphans, organizes medical campaigns, and hosts religious evenings of chanting, Qur\u2019an recitation, and charity.
