{"id":12075,"date":"2026-03-12T19:49:14","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T16:49:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bmaq.org\/?p=12075"},"modified":"2026-03-12T19:49:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T16:49:14","slug":"bayt-mal-al-quds-medical-campaigns-reach-remote-villages-to-support-jerusalmies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bmaq.org\/en\/2026\/03\/12\/bayt-mal-al-quds-medical-campaigns-reach-remote-villages-to-support-jerusalmies\/","title":{"rendered":"Bayt Mal Al-Quds Medical Campaigns Reach Remote Villages to Support Jerusalmies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jerusalem &#8211; In northwest Jerusalem, a small square in Biddu was transformed into an open-air clinic, where residents gathered from early morning for medical examinations and consultations.<\/p>\n<p>The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) continued its field medical campaigns, reaching Bedouin communities and remote villages in the Jerusalem Governorate as part of its annual social assistance program for Ramadan 1447 AH.<br \/>\nThe campaign arrived in Biddu after covering Al-Khan Al-Ahmar, Al-Jahalin, Al-Muntar, Beit Anan, Jaba\u2019, Al-Sawahra, Qatanna, Qalandia Camp, Beit Hanina Al-Balad, and Al-Qubeiba in recent days, in collaboration with Astra Lab Laboratories.<br \/>\nAmal Hussein Abu Eid, a resident of Biddu, said she \u201crushed to the medical center after hearing from neighbors about a medical day attended by several doctors,\u201d adding that the initiative \u201cprovides many residents, living under difficult economic conditions, with essential medical services.\u201d<br \/>\nThe campaign offered a wide range of services, including laboratory tests via a mobile laboratory and specialized consultations in internal medicine, pediatrics, and ophthalmology.<br \/>\nFormer Mayor of Biddu, Salem Abu Eid, noted that \u201corganizing this campaign reflects the humanitarian dimension of BMAQ\u2019s initiatives, especially in remote areas and Bedouin communities.\u201d He emphasized that the Agency remains committed to supporting vulnerable families and alleviating their suffering amid challenging economic and living conditions.<br \/>\nDr. Dalia Jaradat, Director of Astra Lab Laboratories, explained that the campaigns aim to reach communities with limited access to healthcare. The medical teams focused on early disease detection in children, monitoring internal conditions in adults, and conducting vision tests.<br \/>\nResidents of villages and Bedouin communities around Jerusalem face challenges beyond shortages of medicines and equipment, including weak health infrastructure, limited medical staff, and difficulty accessing hospitals and clinics.<br \/>\nBMAQ\u2019s campaigns help ease residents\u2019 suffering, provide essential healthcare, and strengthen families\u2019 ability to remain on their land despite ongoing pressures.<br \/>\nIn December 2025, BMAQ, affiliated with the Al-Quds Committee chaired by King Mohammed VI, equipped twenty primary healthcare points across several villages, including Wadi Abu Hindi, Al-Khan Al-Ahmar, Bedou Al-Khalil, Al-Muntar, Jaba\u2019, and Mikhmas, while also supporting local schools with educational supplies and digital tools.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jerusalem &#8211; In northwest Jerusalem, a small square in Biddu was transformed into an open-air clinic, where residents gathered from early morning for medical examinations and consultations.
