Jerusalem \u2013 On Wednesday, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) launched the second phase of its \u201cWarm Winter\u201d campaign in Jerusalem, benefiting 120 families across 12 Bedouin communities in the southeast of the Jerusalem Governorate.
\nThe campaign focused on reinforcing roofs of rural homes in exposed highland areas and distributing blankets, mattresses, heaters, and winter clothing.
\nInam Abu Zayter, Acting Director General of Public Affairs at the Jerusalem Governorate, praised BMAQ for its initiative to provide essential housing support to these communities. She noted that the campaign targeted 120 families, including the Khala’il community, the farmers of Al-Sawahreh, and the Bedouins of the Arab Al-Jahalin tribe in Al-Muntar, emphasizing that the project helps \u201cstrengthen citizens\u2019 steadfastness on their land.\u201d
\nAbdullah Al-Zahaykeh, representative of the Arab Al-Sawahreh community, expressed his gratitude to \u201cHis Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for the support provided, which included mattresses, pillows, blankets, mats, and tarpaulins to improve living conditions during the cold winter season.\u201d He added that the assistance will help \u201calleviate the suffering of needy families in the area.\u201d
\nZiad Abu Zayter, a resident of the Khala\u2019il Al-Muntar community, highlighted the impact of BMAQ\u2019s donations in \u201crelieving the suffering of 38 families, reinforcing their steadfastness on their land, and improving their living conditions.\u201d
