Jerusalem – The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) carried out yesterday, Thursday, in the town of Al-Ram on the outskirts of Jerusalem, a new project aimed at empowering Jerusalemite institutions and upgrading their infrastructure. Implemented within the framework of the \u201cLocal Initiatives for Human Development\u201d program, the initiative seeks to strengthen the capacities of both official and civil institutions in Jerusalem by providing them with essential equipment and resources.<\/p>\n
The symbolic handover of the equipment took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs and the Jerusalem Governorate, in the presence of the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Ashraf Al-Awar; the Deputy Governor of Jerusalem, Abdullah Siyam; and the Moroccan Deputy Ambassador to Palestine, El-Mahdi Bouanan. The support included eight Jerusalemite associations active in social and service fields.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Ashraf Al-Awar, praised the projects implemented by the BMAQ to support civil and governmental institutions in Jerusalem, noting that these initiatives \u201ccome at the right time, at a stage when institutions and government departments are in urgent need of such devices and equipment, which will have a direct impact on serving the Palestinian people in the city.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Palestinian Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Moroccan people, the Moroccan government, and the management of BMAQ for their ongoing and tangible support. He emphasized that these projects \u201cnot only meet the needs of Jerusalemites, but also respond to the requirements of the institutions themselves, ultimately creating a positive and far-reaching impact on the daily lives of citizens in Jerusalem.\u201d<\/p>\n
For his part, the Deputy Governor of Jerusalem, Abdullah Siyam, stated that the Governorate is pleased \u201cwith the distinguished partnership with BMAQ. He noted that the program has delivered substantial support to both official and civil Palestinian institutions by providing a wide range of electronic devices and equipment, significantly enhancing the efficiency and quality of services offered to citizens through these institutions.<\/p>\n
Siyam stressed that this \u201cdiversity and continuity in the support provided by BMAQ\u00a0 reflect the depth of the partnership between us and the Agency, which operates under the guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and with the full support of the Kingdom of Morocco.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Moroccan Deputy Ambassador expressed that \u201cthe projects implemented by BMAQ, as the field arm of the Al-Quds Committee chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, fall within the framework of the concrete implementation of the executive program set by the Agency for the last quarter of the current year.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bouanan explained that the administrative component of these activities \u201cinvolves supplying Jerusalemite institutions with various devices and equipment, aiming to enhance service quality and streamline workflow in Palestinian official institutions serving the residents of Jerusalem, particularly the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs and the Jerusalem Governorate.\u201d<\/p>\n
Representatives of several beneficiary associations also underscored the ongoing support provided by BMAQ\u00a0 to strengthen institutional performance, commending the sustained nature of this effort under the personal patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.<\/p>\n
In this context, Jihad Abu Zneid, Chairwoman of the Administrative Board of the Women\u2019s Center in Shuafat Refugee Camp in Jerusalem, expressed her gratitude \u201cfor the ongoing support provided by the Agency to the Center and for its role in developing its services over the past years.\u201d<\/p>\n
Abu Zneid affirmed that such projects \u201chelp strengthen the resilience of women and offer them the opportunity to live with dignity by empowering them, developing their skills, and enabling them to better serve their families and communities.\u201d<\/p>\n
As for Fatima Faraon, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Shorouq Women\u2019s Association in Al-Eizariya, she affirmed that the contribution launched by the Agency is \u201ca highly significant step in enabling the Association to continue its administrative and technical work, especially as it is an empowerment-oriented institution serving women in the southeast Jerusalem area through various training, vocational, and productive programs.\u201d<\/p>\n
