Rabat \u2013 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates announced Monday that King Mohammed VI, in his capacity as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, has ordered the delivery of additional humanitarian aid to Gaza. The initiative underscores Morocco\u2019s continued support and concrete solidarity with the Palestinian people amid the severe humanitarian crisis gripping the region.<\/p>\n
According to an official statement from the ministry, the new shipment carries about 100 tons of food and medical supplies, with priority given to vulnerable groups \u2014 especially children and infants.<\/p>\n
The ministry noted that, as with previous initiatives, King Mohammed VI instructed that the aid be flown directly into Gaza to guarantee swift delivery to beneficiaries and to avoid logistical delays.<\/p>\n
The royal initiative comes as Gaza faces a deepening humanitarian crisis, with mounting restrictions and shortages of basic supplies that are hitting the most vulnerable \u2014 particularly children and the sick \u2014 the hardest.<\/p>\n
This latest move follows a similar initiative at the end of July, when the King ordered the delivery of about 180 tons of urgent humanitarian and medical aid, including food, infant formula, medicines, medical equipment, tents, blankets, and other shelter materials.<\/p>\n
