Gaza \u2013 On Monday, The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) carried out the fifth phase of the Moroccan humanitarian relief campaign, benefiting 500 displaced families in the town of Al-Zawaida and the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip, with the support of the Moroccan Association for the Support of Reconstruction in Palestine.<\/p>\n
In light of the dire humanitarian conditions affecting all residents of the Gaza Strip, the Agency adopted a carefully designed set of criteria to ensure food aid reaches those in greatest need. Priority was given to the most vulnerable groups\u2014specifically, families led by widows, households headed by individuals with disabilities, and those providing care for orphans who have lost both parents.<\/p>\n
The food baskets were personally delivered to beneficiaries to spare them the risks and hardship of traveling to warehouses or distribution points. Each basket contained 2 kilograms of flour, a selection of fresh vegetables, and bundles of molokhia leaves.<\/p>\n
Each food basket cost around $100, a stark contrast to the pre-war price of the same items, which did not exceed $10.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, the beneficiary families expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee\u2014may God protect him\u2014for this noble gesture of solidarity and unwavering Moroccan support for the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n
The beneficiaries also conveyed their profound appreciation and joy to the Kingdom of Morocco\u2014its King, government, and people\u2014for the generous support and timely assistance.
