Rabat \u2013 The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ) has recently published the 31st issue of its \u201cEchoes from Al-Quds Committee\u201d periodical, in both Arabic and English.<\/p>\n
The cover story of this issue is dedicated to the ongoing humanitarian campaigns carried out by the Agency in support of the Palestinian population in Jerusalem, which also include assistance to a number of the most vulnerable families in the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n
The new issue also recalls the contents of the Royal Speech delivered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the 34th Arab League Summit, held in Baghdad on 17\u201318 May 2025, in which His Majesty affirmed: \u201cIn keeping with the responsibility entrusted to me, as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, I will continue to defend the holy sites, especially Al-Quds Asharif, by building on the combined political and diplomatic action, on the one hand, and the fieldwork carried out by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, on the other.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the editorial of this issue, Mr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, Director in charge of managing the affairs of BMAQ, noted that as part of its 2024\u20132027 digital strategy, the Agency recently launched the \u201cHayya\u201d application in Rabat. This new platform is designed for children and youth, offering a range of educational and cultural resources that promote the values of Bayt Al-Maqdis \u2014 including an animated series titled \u201cThe Five Keys of Jerusalem.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr. Echarkaoui added, \u201cThis is an important shift in the Agency\u2019s work. We have chosen to embrace the technologies that Generation Z, Generation Alpha, and Generation Beta are skilled at using and adapting, by providing interactive panels with augmented reality technology that include a QR code allowing users to participate in competitions and submit ideas and questions about Jerusalem, its architecture, history, civilization, and other topics children wish to explore with us through the app.\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued, \u201cWe opted to promote this application initially from the Kingdom of Morocco \u2014 the country that hosts the Al-Quds Committee \u2014 under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, with a simple and targeted campaign supported by the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports. This aims to instill the principle of the steadfast connection that Moroccans, across all generations, have with their Palestinian brothers and sisters in all circumstances, following the slogan adopted by the Agency after the tragic events of October 7, 2023, and the subsequent war on Gaza: \u2018With them in Adversity as in Times of Prosperity.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr. Echarkaoui noted that the story in the first part of the animated series \u201cThe Five Keys of Jerusalem\u201d depicts the deep-rooted bond between the people of Morocco and Jerusalem, recounting their journeys there as fighters, pilgrims, and scholars who settled to seek and spread knowledge: \u201cThey built their neighborhood, settled down there, preserving their customs, traditions, and religious school.\u201d<\/p>\n
In this regard, he stated, \u201cAt BMAQ \u2014 Moroccans and Palestinians alike \u2014 we are proud to offer this inspiring example to future generations. It stands as a testament to the enduring unity that brings Moroccans into the streets in solidarity with Palestine\u2019s hardships, and to their unwavering commitment to provide financial and material support whenever the need arises.\u201d He emphasized, \u201cAt the Agency, we stand as living witnesses to the remarkable generosity and compassion of the Moroccan people.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr. Echarkaoui concluded by stressing that, \u201cIn His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, we have a role model, as His Majesty donates to the people of Palestine from his personal funds and directs the dispatch of humanitarian and medical aid needed by people in Jerusalem and Gaza, never hesitating to mobilize Moroccan diplomacy to champion the Palestinian cause on all fronts and levels.\u201d<\/p>\n
This new issue also includes a bilingual supplement (Arabic and English) on the fifth edition of the International Children\u2019s Simulation Summit for Al-Quds, organized by BMAQ in cooperation with the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco, with support from the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, on 13\u201314 May in Rabat, under the theme \u201cFor the Children of Palestine: No Alternative to Peace,\u201d with the participation of schoolchildren from 24 different nationalities, including Palestinian children from Jerusalem.<\/p>\n
In addition to the regular sections, Issue No. 31 features a special report on the \u201cMoroccan Studies Chair at Al-Quds University,\u201d which aims to enhance Morocco\u2019s presence in Palestine and the Levant through research, studies, and conferences to be organized or attended, complementing the plan for the Moroccan Cultural Center \u2014 Bayt Al-Maghrib in Jerusalem \u2014 when inaugurated, as well as the program of the Bayt Al-Maqdis Research and Studies Center located at BMAQ’s headquarters in Rabat.<\/p>\n
