Rabat\u2013 The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), in partnership with the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco and with the support of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, organized today in Rabat the fifth session of the International Children\u2019s Summit Simulation for Al-Quds, under the theme: \u201cFor the Children of Palestine: No Alternative to Peace.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the closing statement of the session, participants emphasized \u201cthe importance of creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue on the issues that matter to us\u2014opportunities that encourage deep reflection on the realities unfolding around us.\u201d This took place in the presence of representatives from various government ministries, international organizations, and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom of Morocco.<\/p>\n
Children from 24 nationalities, including Arab and Islamic countries, as well as from Europe and America, in addition to children who came from Jerusalem, expressed their \u201cpain over the suffering endured by children in Gaza and other Palestinian areas, as they pay a heavy daily toll with their lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
On this occasion, Dr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, the Director in charge of running BMAQ, explained that the summit simulation was launched five years ago with the goal of bringing together children from diverse nationalities\u2014including the children of diplomats accredited to Morocco, as well as students from Moroccan and international schools, alongside Moroccan and Palestinian children. The initiative aims to foster mutual understanding and open dialogue around issues that matter to them.<\/p>\n
Echarkaoui stated that, under the high directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, the Agency \u201ccontinues to implement programs dedicated to childhood, most notably the Summer Schools Program in Jerusalem, which benefits 3,000 Palestinian children and represents the largest annual youth gathering in the Holy City.\u201d<\/p>\n
As part of its efforts to expand educational and cultural initiatives,Echarkaoui announced the recent launch of a new digital application called \u201cHayya\u201d, designed for children and youth.
