{"id":10064,"date":"2024-09-22T11:24:14","date_gmt":"2024-09-22T08:24:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bmaq.org\/?p=10064"},"modified":"2024-10-08T00:49:04","modified_gmt":"2024-10-07T21:49:04","slug":"tunisia-the-bayt-mal-al-quds-asharif-honored-with-alecso-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bmaq.org\/en\/2024\/09\/22\/tunisia-the-bayt-mal-al-quds-asharif-honored-with-alecso-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Tunisia: BMAQ Honored with ALECSO Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tunisia<\/p>\n<p>The Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) presented its award to the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency (BMAQ), which operates under the Al-Quds Committee and is headquartered in Rabat, Morocco..<\/p>\n<p>This honor comes in recognition of the Agency&#8217;s outstanding work, carried out under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in Al-Quds through various projects and programs aimed at supporting the Holy City, its institutions, and its steadfast inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;ALECSO&#8221; plaque was presented to Dr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, the director in charge of managing the BMAQ Agency, during the closing ceremony of the conference &#8220;The Reality of Children&#8217;s Education in Al-Quds,&#8221; organized by ALECSO at its headquarters in Tunis last Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, emphasized that this Arab recognition aligns with ALECSO&#8217;s efforts to encourage partner organizations to intensify their work in safeguarding the education system in Al-Quds and strengthening the presence of Palestinian national identity in the fields of thought and culture.<br \/>\nThe award ceremony was attended by the Palestinian Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Amjad Barham, and the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Dr. Ashraf Al-Aouar, along with the Palestinian Ambassador to Tunisia, Hayel Fahoum, representatives from the Palestine Department at the Arab League, and officials from ALECSO.<br \/>\nIn his opening remarks at the conference, Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui emphasized that BMAQ, guided by His Majesty King Mohammed VI as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, addresses the situation in the Holy City and its social sectors with a profound understanding of the city&#8217;s unique status, legal context, and the particular challenges it confronts.\u201d<br \/>\nThe proceedings of the conference, organized by ALECSO in partnership with the Palestinian National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science(PNCECS), included the presentation of two papers.
